About Rob

Roberto Lopez, fondly known as Rob, is the owner and lead guide of Rob’s Belize Cultural Tours, a premier tour company offering immersive Nature, Adventure, and Mayan Archaeological and Historical experiences across Belize. With an impressive 28 years of experience as a professional tour guide, Rob has led countless groups through Belize’s lush rainforests, ancient Mayan cities, and vibrant cultural landmarks, as well as parts of Guatemala and Mexico.
 

A true naturalist at heart, Rob’s expertise spans Mayan archaeology, natural history, botany, and ornithology, making his tours both educational and inspiring. His deep passion for Belize’s heritage and biodiversity is reflected in the authentic and enriching experiences he provides to travelers from around the world.
 

Since 2009, Rob has also served as a Tour Director for EF (Education First), an international travel organization that sends student groups to over 75 countries worldwide. In this role, Rob oversees all logistics for visiting student groups in Belize, including hotel accommodations, restaurant coordination, supplier engagement, and tour management—ensuring smooth operations and unforgettable learning experiences.
